Ireland-2-Turkey 2024

I had a relatively good night sleep last night. I was the first one up and had a quick shower. The shower is a little different to home.

You flick a red switch as you enter the bathroom then press the button on the water heater.

Still no movement in the home. So l thought l’d go outside to take a selfie in front to Emer’s home.

I left the door open and bugger me their dog took the opportunity to run free.

There l waa outside running after Zoe on the wet grass. Fricken dog wouldn’t come to me! There neighbour was out getting into the car. I thought Zoe might have gone to them. But no!

Luckily Rory had come down the stairs and saw the door open. Rory saved my bacon!

Back inside for breakfast while reading the Sligo paper. Yes, Emer had Vegemite!

I nearly fell off my chair when l saw the Harvey Norman add in the paper.

Emer said the voice over on the tv for Harvey Norman also has an Australian edge.

I noticed in Emer’s cupboard that l have my own special brand of tea!

Emer then dropped me in Sligo where l spent a good part of the afternoon exploring the town.

The street names are found on higher up on the building.

I had a look at property prices in a real estate’s window. Still out of my price range!

In my wander around the streets l found the below on a building. Sligo had a Victoria Cross recipient from the First World War.

Then l found my way to an ancient Sligo Abby.

Emer took me on a scenic drive after picking me up from Sligo.
