Up early again! I had a nice breakfast.

Then l thought l’d catch the local bus out to the end of the peninsula.

It’s Sunday so there was a little wait for the bus. It finally arrived and l settled in for the ride.

The ride cost 30 liar. It wasn’t long and l was at the end of the peninsula. I thought l’d get off the bus and walk back into Kas. It’s a nice way to take in the scenery.

The coastline is pretty well developed with various types of accommodation. The view is amazing with islands.

A photo showing development fronting the sea.

Beautiful flowers along the roadside.

More flowers

An attempt at trying to be creative with a photo.

I picked up a friend who accompanied on my walk.

When l would stop to take photos my friend would find a shady place to rest and wait for me.

It got a little hot for him towards the end. Luckily, there was a pool of water which he was able to cool himself off in.

I did part of the walk without my shirt to soak up some of the sun.

A photo of development designed to take advantage of the view.

A photo of the shore line and the colour of the sea. Unfortunately, the photo doesn’t reflect the true colour of the sea.

Another photo of a rocky outcrop.

This photo shows the colour of the sea.

I walked past the marina with a lot of moored boats of various styles.

It was a good hour walk back into the centre of Kas. I shouted myself a little treat.

I took a few snaps on my walk back to my hotel. The below photo shows a shop front selling women’s clothes.

I found a small shit bar.

I went back my accommodation to shower and rest for a while. Kate messaged me earlier to invite me to her place where she’s hosting a borscht party.
After a rest, l made my way down to catch the local bus to Kate’s place. It was real easier to find given Kate had dropped a pin in Google maps and instructions.
Kate invited some lovely Russian and Ukrainians friends over to sample her style of borscht she was cooking. One of her Russian friends and her husband are big into tea. They brought their chinese tea making set and gave me a detailed explanation of the set.

The tea they made was very nice. They also had made a wonderful hummus dish.

Finally, Kate’s borscht was ready for lunch.

It was delicious. We all enjoyed the borscht.

Then it was time for me to walk back to my accommodation. I took a few snaps on my walk.

Another photo

And another

That was my day!
