I had a relatively good night sleep despite waking up at 4:30am. I tried getting back to sleep but my body wasn’t have any of this.
After laying around for a few hours and, then showering, l decided to go for a walk. I found a place to have myself some breakfast.

A omelette, bread and traditional Turkish tea. My mood improved after having something to eat. Then a quick call to reception to check on my taxi. I made my way out the front to wait it arrival.
A quick selfie to fill in some time while l’m waiting the taxi to arrive.

I wasn’t 100 percent sure the taxi would arrive. But, in the end, he arrived a few minutes ahead of time. A quick selfie and we were on our way.

When l got into the taxi l looked to see if the driver was wearing a seat belt. No. Both seat belt buckles had clips in them with the seat belt attached. The driver looked at me with a smile and said “no problem, no problem”! That is until you come to a sudden stop!
The taxi driver wanted to know why l wasn’t going to Antalya by taxi. I thought to myself. “Mate! It’s an 1:20 minute flight. I certainly don’t have the patience to sit in a taxi for over 8:30 hours with some who speaks little English.”
A little excitement at the airport while waiting in the seating near an escalator. A muslin woman was pulled down onto the escalator. It appears she got her clothing caught somehow!
I must have sucker written all over me! I was sitting down minding my own business when the 20 something male indicated he wanted to sit in the seat next to me. He first asked if l was ruskie (meaning Russian). I said no. He said he was from Uzbekistan and asked where l was from. I pulled out my phone to show him a map of the world and pointed to Australia
Then he pulled out his phone and l thought he wanted me to speak into it for translation. I grab his phone and was about the speak into it when he said no. He pointed to the text on the phone which said in perfect English that he had lost his money and ticket for flight.
He asked if l could help. I quickly handed his phone and said no. I must wah my forehead extra hard to night to wash away the sucker sign!
The airport has an interesting way to ensure you find your way to your point of departure. They have different colour lines in the floor with the gates.

I’m following the purple line heading for Gate 208A. The airport also has these little electric vehicle things to transport people of poor mobility to the pint of departure.

The driver stands on the behind the person seated on the front. The plane they will take me to Antalya has arrived.

It was relatively smooth boarding proceed and it wasn’t long before l settled into my window seat.

I’m flying with Pegasus to Antalya.

And we were off …
A few photos taken over Turkey

I’m noticing a lot of the water reservoirs are half full. Not sure if this is the normal state or not! Somewhere over Turkey to show the terrain

Then coming into Antalya

Finally we came into land in Antalya
I wasn’t too certain l would see my backpack again, But it arrived safely. Then out of the airport and into a taxi. I was boarder line getting dark by the time l left the airport and hopped into a taxi. I was really worried about yesterday’s taxi challenges occurring again.
But we found my accommodation without any hassle. I away get a little on edge when you receive instructions via the booking app describing the location, what it’s next to and, providing you with two different PIN numbers to enter the accommodation block.
The entrance and first of the two key pads.

Once l got through the second key entrance I made my way to the second floor as instructed to look for Room 6. This is what greeted me. The key in the door.

I opened the door and saw the multiple locking system in the door!

I thought this must be one rough neighbourhood. The accommodation is fairly new and is clean. This is the bedroom. One large bed consisting of l’d say two king single pushed together.

The bathroom is clean

And there is a kitchen living room area.

Now, this is it for me today. It’s time for a shower and off to bed! I’m heading to Kas tomorrow!
