It’s a cool start to the morning. It’s 9:20 and only 3.9 degrees.

I went for a short walk to the local convenience store to get some supplies for my walk.
Benbulben was looking spectacular without cloud obscuring the view from Carney.

Knocknarea is a 320m climb to reach the top. It was formed 300 million years ago and is limestone.
Onto top of Knocknarea is the burial place of the warrior Queen Maeve of Connaught.

Then came the stairs!

It was all uphill from here! A quick snap looking back towards the town and the bay.

Then l made my way backdown which was a hell of a lot easier than going up.

Once l was back at where l started l hot footed it into Strand Hill. I made my way to Mommy Johnstone’s.

I celebrated my efforts with a much deserved hot chocolate.

I was feeling pretty buggered once l stopped moving

No wonder, as l did over 10.000 steps walking 7.2 kilometres.

They have a surf school in Strand Hill.
